    Does the fountain come with an AC power adapter (wall plug)?

    The fountain includes the USB power cord required to run the pump. Please note: The AC wall adapter is not included and must be provided by the customer.

    Does the fountain run continuously?

    Yes, the standard model runs continuously to ensure the water is constantly fresh and oxygen-rich. If you purchased the smart model, it runs only when the sensor is activated.

    How long is the cord?

    The USB power cord is approximately 3 feet (0.9 meters) long.

    How often do the filters need to be replaced?

    We recommend changing the filter every 2 weeks to ensure the water stays fresh and clean. Filter bundles of 4 (2-month supply) and 8 (4-month supply) are available for easy re-ordering.

    How do I clean the fountain?

    Cleaning is simple! The main stainless steel basin and tray are fully dishwasher-safe (just be sure to remove the pump and filter first). We recommend cleaning the pump once a month to ensure maximum flow.

    What if my cat doesn't like the fountain right away?

    It’s normal for some cats to be cautious! We recommend waiting 3-4 days so your cat can get used to the movement and sound. If they are still hesitant, try rubbing a small amount of catnip on the spout to encourage them to investigate.

    What if the pump stops working?

    First, please check the pump for clogs (it must be cleaned monthly). If the problem persists, simply email our customer support team at support@scratching-cactus.com and we will make sure you and your cat are taken care of!
